The ruling New Azerbaijan Party has announced its position on opposition party statements.
"The parties must seek the cause of their weakness," Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling party, MP Siyavush Novruzov told Trend.
He said the activity of political parties is carried out within the law on political parties.
"Equal conditions are created for all political parties in Azerbaijan," he said. "If some parties operate in accordance with the law, then other parties function on the basis of decisions of their leaders or functionaries rather than party rules."
The parties split and become weak if they do not operate within the law, he said.
"We have recently observed that members of some parties leave the party ranks," he said.
