Azerbaijan has organized English-language courses for police officers, who will protect the public order during the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Baku in 2012, Azerbaijani Interior Ministry's Deputy Spokesman EhsanZahidov told Trend.

Earlier Azerbaijani President IlhamAliyev signed an order on conducting the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku. The decree stipulates creating the Organizing Committee for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, and Interior Minister RamilUsubov was included in the Committee, Zahidov said.

"The Azerbaijani Interior Ministry considers the study of foreign languages​​ by police officers as a reasonable action, given the tasks arising from this order, and with a view to ensure an exemplary public order in Baku and reliable protection of many foreign guests, as well as to provide visitors with a comprehensive and complete information about Azerbaijan, its history and culture," Zahidov noted.
