An international event on the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan's state independence has today kicked off in Baku. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended the event.
President Aliyev addressed to the event.
The event is organized by the Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan (ACSDA).
The event is attended by more than 300 well-known public and political figures from 58 countries, including, European Parliament, Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe, OSCE, Euronest, MPs of European countries, current and former state figures, Nobel prize-winners, the U.S. regional speakers, former congressmen and senators, scientists and businessmen.
A documentary film dedicated to independent years of Azerbaijan was demonstrated at the event.
The event will end on Sept. 24.
