Tajik MP to lead CIS PA standing committee (UPDATE)

Tajik Parliamentary Committee Chairman Mahmudali Vatanov was elected as the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Legal Affairs of the CIS Parliamentary Assembly (CIS PA).
The decision was made at the committee meeting held in Baku today.
The session in the Parliament will last two days. The session will consider draft model laws on protection of property rights and on trade secrets.
During the session, the advisor of committee of the Federation Council of Russia Valery Bokarev mentioned the importance of harmonizing the provisions of legislations of some CIS states in the legal field.
It needs to consider these issues at meetings of CIS Parliamentary Committee, said Bokarev.
The Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy and State Building Ali Huseynli said at the meeting that the Azerbaijani Parliament has conducted examination of legislation on combating corruption, submitted by the CIS PA.
