First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva has today met with former President of Bulgaria Petar Stoyanov, who is attending the International Humanitarian Forum in Baku.

First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva has today met with former President of Bulgaria Petar Stoyanov, who is attending the International Humanitarian Forum in Baku.

Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva expressed confidence the Baku International Humanitarian Forum would contribute to developing cultural relations.

The First Lady spoke of Azerbaijan-Bulgaria relations. Mrs. Aliyeva informed Stoyanov about the activity and goals of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation established in the memory of Azerbaijan's national leader.

The former President thanked for the hospitality, stressing importance of the Baku Humanitarian Forum. He also praised Baku's hosting such authoritative events.

The former Bulgarian President underlined the importance of projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and wished successes to the Foundation in its future activity.

Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva also met with the famous scientist, academician Sergey Kapitsa, who is now taking part in the International Humanitarian Forum.

Mrs. Aliyeva expressed pleasure with participation of the famous academician in the International Humanitarian Forum.

Speaking about the Azerbaijani-Russian relations, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation informed about the goals and activity of the Foundation, noting also the Foundation's Russian representation's projects that strengthen the friendly ties between two countries.

Academician Kapitsa praised goals of the Foundation, expressing also admiration for large-scale improvement works carried out in Baku.

The Forum will, according to the academician, promote intercultural dialogue among the countries and peoples.
