The Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov will visit Iran next week, diplomatic sources told Trend on Friday. Mr. Khalafov will hold talks on bilateral relations with Iranian officials in Tehran.
Preparation for the next trilateral meeting of Azerbaijani, Iranian and Turkish foreign ministers planned for the end of the year is expected to be discussed.
The first meeting was held in the Iranian city of Urmia in April where a joint declaration was adopted. This document stressed the need for intensifying economic, political and security cooperation.
