The Tbilisi City Court began reviewing the case of journalists against Georgian Interior Ministry on Tuesday. Journalists who suffered during violent dispersal of opposition rally on May 26 filed a claim.
The claim against the Interior Ministry was made by representatives of six of media outlets "Netgazeti", "Guria News", "Batumelebi", "Chohatauris Matsne", "Akhali Ambebi" and "Radio center". Interests of seven journalists are defended by lawyers of the Young Lawyers Association.
The claimants demand compensation for moral and material damages worth 5,500 lari ($ 1 = 1.65 lari).
