Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan approve cooperation plan in defense sphere (PHOTO)

The cooperation plan between the Azerbaijani and Kazakh Defense Ministries for 2012 was approved during Azerbaijani Defense Minister's visit to Astana.
The Azerbaijani military delegation paid a working visit to Astana. Kazakh Defense Minister Adilbek Jaksibekov met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Colonel General Safar Abiyev.
"Kazakhstan is Azerbaijan's important partner in the Caspian region," Abiyev said at the meeting.
Jaksibekov stressed that today the technical state of weapons and equipment has great importance. The cooperation was established with many countries to modernize and buy modern samples. The Kazakh Army develops its own military-industrial complex. This direction is one of the main priorities in developing the Kazakh Armed Forces.
Ministers exchanged views on regional security, cooperation in the political-military and military-technical spheres.
They stressed the cooperation in developing the naval forces and exchanging the information on hydrographic and hydrometeorological conditions.
