Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has today held several bilateral meetings within the OSCE ministerial council in Vilnius.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister met with counterparts of Israel, Finland, the Republic of Cyprus. They discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and these countries, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Elman Abdullayev told Trend.
The OSCE Ministerial Council meeting is held in the capital of Lithuania on December 6-7.
The foreign ministers of these countries congratulated Azerbaijan on its election as a non-permanent member of UN Security Council.
The parties exchanged views on regional cooperation and the processes occurring in the region.
The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Cyprus also discussed the prospects of cooperation in the context of Cyprus's future presidency in the EU in 2012.
