Azerbaijani, Serbian ruling parties agree to cooperate

The ruling New Azerbaijan party and Serbian Democratic Party signed the memorandum of understanding in Baku on Thursday. The agreement was signed by deputy chairman and executive secretary of New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov and deputy head of Serbian Democratic Party, minister of agriculture, trade, forestry and water management Dushan Petrovic.

The ruling New Azerbaijan party and Serbian Democratic Party signed the memorandum of understanding in Baku on Thursday. The agreement was signed by deputy chairman and executive secretary of New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov and deputy head of Serbian Democratic Party, minister of agriculture, trade, forestry and water management Dushan Petrovic.

Ahmadov said that the memorandum will make it possible to expand the Azerbaijani-Serbian ties. He said that both parties will be able to implement joint projects in the future. He also stressed the importance of strengthening the close ties between youth organizations of both parties.

The Azerbaijani ruling party day by day expands its international ties and cooperation with the parties of other countries. The ruling party has close ties with European People's Party and Asian political parties. The party has potential and desire to expand this cooperation, Ahmadov said.

Deputy chairman of the Serbian Democratic Party said that it is important to develop the cooperation between two parties in terms of expanding the bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Serbia. The mutual visits of the two presidents opened up the prospects for cooperation.

Our countries have a common goal - the EU membership, Petrovic said. But it is not easy to resolve this issue."

He added that the EU has some problems. It is necessary to look for new methods to resolve them.
