Azerbaijani and Montenegrin ruling parties sign memorandum on cooperation

Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 22 / Trend M. Aliyev /

The ruling New Azerbaijan Party and the Social Democratic Party of Montenegro have today signed a memorandum of cooperation in Baku.

Deputy chairman and executive secretary Ali Ahmadov and chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Montenegro Milo Chukanovich signed the document.

The memorandum will play an important role in the development of cooperation between the parties. Azerbaijan is interested in attracting investments. It carries out investment projects in other countries, Ahmadov said.

"The relations between the two countries from this point of view, may intensify in the political and economic spheres," Chukanovich said.

Ahmadov highlighted the cooperation of young people. All conditions will be created for young people at the "Eurovision-2012" song contest in Baku in May next year, he said.

Montenegro and Azerbaijan establish fruitful relations at this stage, Chukanovich said. The cooperation between the parties will create a bridge for the new relations, he said.

"While visiting Baku, I had a chance to see the city," Chukanovich said. "I witnessed the fact that Baku is ancient and modern city."

He added that a new hall being built for the "Eurovision 2012" will be another and modern symbol of Baku.

A guest from Montenegro invited the representatives of the ruling party to visit Montenegro. He added that this will be another step in the development of relations.
