A meeting of the board of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) was held on Thursday, the official website of the party reported today.

Report of the NAP for 2011, financial report for 2011and work plan for the first half of 2012 were discussed at the meeting.

Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of NAP Ali Ahmedov spoke about the tasks on the agenda.

It was noted at the meeting that in 2011 NAP achieved important successes in terms of ideological propaganda, youth policy, expansion of international relations. The number of the party's members exceeded 556,000 people as of Jan.1, 2012. Over 34,000 people were admitted to NAP, 60 per cent of which is youth, in 2011.

Financial report for 2011 was approved at the meeting of the NAP's board. It was noted that in 2011 proceeds from membership dues to the party's budget exceeded 4.711million manat, budget of expenditure of district (city) organizations of NAP and Executive Secretariat exceeded 4.611 million manat. Some 2.459 million were spent on payment of wages, 687,000 manat - on financing of various party measures, 196,000 manat - travel allowance, 326,000 manat - on purchase of vehicles and stock, 170,000 manat - material for current construction, 178,000 - economic expenditure, 61,000 manat - printing expenditure, and the rest - public utilities, rent, expenditure for communication, banking, etc.
