Withdrawal of ISAF forces from Afghanistan to worsen regional situation
Azerbaijan, Baku, March 9 / Trend V. Zhavoronkova /
The withdrawal of International Security Assistance Force from Afghanistan may worsen the situation in the region, Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi said in an interview with the New Europe newspaper, CA-News reported on Friday.
He said additional complex measures should be taken to provide timely response to the worsening, which possibly may threaten the national interests of the region's countries.
Zarifi said despite the fact that the international community cares about postwar restoration of Afghanistan, it is necessary to determine concrete direction and mechanism of such restoration.
He urged the international community to seek a compromise, which meets security and stability interests in Afghanistan and beyond it.
