Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan discuss Caspian Sea delimitation in Baku

A meeting of the expert group on the delimitation of the Caspian Sea between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan has been held at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry today, the Ministry told Trend.
The delegations headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov and chairman of the State Enterprise for the Issues of the Caspian Sea under the Turkmen President Murat Atajanov have attended the meeting.
Several issues related to the delimitation of the Caspian Sea between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan has been discussed. The views on the draft convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea have been exchanged.
The importance of consultations on the Caspian Sea in bilateral and multilateral formats has been stressed. The need was stressed to continue these negotiations.
