Billionaire and media mogul Donald Trump during his two-day visit to Georgia, which will begin on Saturday, April 21, will meet with President Mikheil Saakashvili.

As noted in a statement issued on Tuesday by Silk Road Group, Trump will attend the presentation of the Trump Tower project in Batumi, which will be built in the heart of a prosperous Georgian resort city. The project was designed by architectural firm John Fotiadis Architects, which is located in New York. The modern 47-storey building will have apartments ranging from 80 to 700 square meters overlooking the Black Sea coast.

Agreement on cooperation between the Trump's company and the Silk Road Group was signed in March 2011 during the visit of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili to the USA.

"Silk Road Group expresses its admiration for the achievements of the first and most important key point in implementing the long-awaited project, which will play a crucial role in the further development of Georgia's real estate sector. Trump's this visit to Tbilisi and Batumi will attract world attention to the project and is the best indicator of successful development of Georgia on the way to becoming a center for international business and leisure," a statement said.

The statement also noted that "Trump Tower" in Batumi does not belong, isn't developed and isn't sold by Donald Trump, its company or branches. The owner is the SRG Investments Ltd, which uses the name and brand "Trump" in accordance with a license from the Trump Marks Batumi LLC.

The construction project in Batumi will be completed in 2013. The new complex, besides hotels and residential apartments, will have commercial sites and a casino.

In addition to the Batumi project it is also planned to construct a similar skyscraper in Tbilisi. Construction of both facilities would cost $250 million.
