Over the past month the amount of funds accumulated in the Azerbaijan Armed Forces Assistance Fund significantly increased, and as of Aug.1 was amounted to about 29.279 million manat, $199,791 and 593 euros, Azerbaijani Defense Ministry told Trend on Wednesday.
The relatively major increase is observed in manat, accounts in dollars and euros have not changed.
Azerbaijan Armed Forces Assistance Fund was formed in accordance of Azerbaijani President's decree dated Aug.17, 2002. It is financed by means of voluntary donations by physical and legal entities and legal incomes.
