Azerbaijan is satisfied with its relations with Japan, which is a priority country in the foreign policy of Baku, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov said during the meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Shusuke Watanabe.

Azerbaijan is satisfied with its relations with Japan, which is a priority country in the foreign policy of Baku, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov said during the meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Shusuke Watanabe.

Noting the high level of relations in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres, the deputy minister stressed that the political dialogue is based on them, MFA said on Friday.

The Japanese ambassador said 2012 is a landmark in the relations between the two countries, as this year marks the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The Ambassador handed congratulatory letters from the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan on this occasion addressed to the President to Khalafov.
