The Azerbaijani diaspora in Estonia and the Azerbaijani embassy in this country prevented the Armenians' attempts to hold a picket in front of the churches near the Swiss Hotel in Tallinn against extradition of Azerbaijani officer Ramil Safarov and his pardon, the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora told Trend today.
The police did not allow 15 participants to hold a rally. The Armenians were forced to gather inside the church.
Around 100 compatriots conducted a campaign in front of the Azerbaijani embassy in support of their country. This campaign was organized by the Azerbaijani-Estonian cultural center "Aidan".
Ambassador Zulfugarov received representatives of the protesters and advised not to succumb to provocations.
