Azerbaijani ruling party: ASALA statements to burst like a soap bubble
Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 10 / Trend /
ASALA operates with the financial support of the Armenian lobby. The terrorist organization once established against Turkey has long been dormant. Now ASALA is again revived by some forces, Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan party (NAP), MP Mubariz Gurbanli told the party's official website.
"In anticipation of Eurovision 2012 song contest there was also an attempt to carry out terrorist attack. However, security agencies of Azerbaijan prevented this attempt. Statements of ASALA will burst like a soap bubble," Gurbanli said.
Some circles want to turn ASALA into their weapon in the region, Gurbanli said.
He noted that the world is changing and the understanding comes that terrorism is a danger to everyone.
"So I do not think that the forces that revived ASALA, will achieve their goals with its help. The security of our embassies is ensured, and the state carries out the necessary work in this direction. Azerbaijan is not afraid of ASALA threats. Trustee of this terrorist organization is Armenia. Armenians also created terrorist organizations in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. Azerbaijan is able to ensure its security, and if needed, ASALA will get stronger response," Gurbanli added.
In connection with the extradition to Azerbaijan and pardon of Ramil Safarov Armenia and the Armenian diaspora continue to escalate the artificial stir and set international opinion against Azerbaijan, the AzerTAc agency reported. Armenian terrorist organizations, inspired by inciting and aggressive stance of the Armenian government, threaten the diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis abroad.
The document, received on September 3 by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Hungary from the ASALA Fighters terrorist organization, calls as a target Azerbaijani diplomats, Azerbaijani students studying abroad, businessmen, activists of diaspora organizations, and states that they will be killed.
