A visit of young specialists from African countries to Azerbaijan will be organized, the embassy told Trend on Thursday.
The visit will be organized by the Azerbaijani embassy in Egypt, the observation mission of the African Union and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Youth and Sport on September 23-29 under the leadership of the African Union.
Roughly 19 people - members of the African Union Commission and representatives of a number of African countries will visit Azerbaijan.
The main purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with a successful youth policy conducted in Azerbaijan and its components - employment programs, health and education of young people, establishing the relations with Azerbaijani youth organizations.
The meetings with the representatives of the African Union are planned to be held in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Center for Strategic Studies, the State Oil Fund of the Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy and the Azerbaijani Youth Fund, Ireli public association, the Azerbaijani National Council of Youth Organizations and the international youth organization "Great Silk Way".
Azerbaijan has obtained an observer status at the African Union since 2011.
