The rehabilitated airfield of Russian military base in Kyrgyzstan will be able to receive strategic bombers in six months, RIA Novosti reported on Friday with reference to Russian Defence Minister Anatoly Serdukov.
"Technically we fill finish the reconstruction of Kant airfield in six months," he said.
Kyrgyzstan hosts a Russian base of underwater weapon trials in Karakole, the centre of military connection in Kara-Balt, radio-seismic laboratory in Mayli-Suu and CSTO airbase in Kant.
Russia plans to unite these four objects under common command.
