Voter turnout in the parliamentary elections in Georgia was 61%. This was announced at the final briefing Press Speaker of Georgian CEC Eka Azarashvili.

She stressed that the elections were conducted in a transparent condition; serious incidents have not been recorded.

Press Speaker noted that election commissions began the counting of votes since 21:00. "The first data to appear after about three o'clock in the morning" - she said.

According Azarashvili, the first protocols with the vote count appear to the CEC at 23:00 local time.

Parliamentary elections took place in Georgia at October 1, which were attended by 14 parties and two political blocks.

After the entry into force of amendments to the Constitution Parliament in 2013-will receive more authority, the rights of the head of state would be cut.
