Head of the central executive office of the Azerbaijani opposition party Musavat Arif Hajili said he will not mind if he is nominated for the position of the party head.

"I do not aim to lead Musavat, but if the party members want to see me as the leader of the party, I will put forward my candidacy," he told Trend today. "This issue will become clearer after discussions and consultations."

He said that in any case, the issue of electing the party leader will be considered at the convention, the date of which has not yet been determined. Over 600 delegates who will elect the governing bodies and Musavat chairman, will attend the congress. They will determine the next strategy and tactics of the party.
