Latvia wants to move and expand the economic cooperation with Azerbaijan, in particular to facilitate trade and investment, Latvian Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis said during a round table "Cooperation of Latvia, EU and Azerbaijan, and future prospects" at the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy in Baku on Thursday.
"We are also looking forward to expand cooperation in the field of education," he said.
He said there is quite large potential for discussions in this field.
"We support the dialogue between the EU and Azerbaijan, and we support the EU's engaging in the Eastern Partnership. There is a good possibility to use even more twinning projects and good possibility for cooperation in this sphere by using the EU funds," he underlined.
Rector of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy Hafiz Pashayev also made speech during the event.
