President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today accepted credentials of newly-appointed ambassador of Afghanistan Shaker Kargar.

The Head of State said that there are great historical links between the two countries. He underlined the need to expand them. On Afghan President Hamid Karzai`s participation in the Baku summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization, President Ilham Aliyev pointed out that Karzai`s visit was important for discussing the ways how to determine new avenues for development of bilateral relations.

The Azerbaijani leader underscored Azerbaijan would continue to support combined efforts to strengthen stability and security in Afghanistan.

The ambassador extended Karzai`s greetings to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, adding his country and people support the position of Azerbaijan in the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The Head of State thanked Afghanistan for supporting Azerbaijan within international organizations.

President Ilham Aliyev asked the ambassador to pass on his greetings to the Head of Afghanistan.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today accepted credentials of incoming ambassador of Côte d'Ivoire Bernard Tanoh-Boutchoué.

During the conversation, the ambassador offered his country`s President Alassane Ouattara`s greetings to President Ilham Aliyev. The diplomat pointed out his country is interested in expansion of cooperation with Azerbaijan. He assured the President that he would spare no efforts to take bilateral ties forward.

The Head of State underlined the need to explore opportunities for development of cooperation between the two countries. President wished every success to the diplomat in his diplomatic career.

President Aliyev asked the ambassador to convey his greetings to President of Côte d'Ivoire Alassane Ouattara.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received credentials of newly-appointed ambassador of Estonia to Azerbaijan Miko Haljas.

The Head of State underlined during the conversation that bilateral relations between the two countries are well developed. The President underlined the importance of high-level reciprocal visits. He expressed hope that Azerbaijan-Estonia relations would continue to develop in the years to come.

The ambassador noted that both countries are satisfied with the level o of political, economic cooperation. He expressed hope that bilateral ties would expand even more down the road. He highlighted the role of the Estonia-Azerbaijan intergovernmental joint commission in cementing relationships. The ambassador underlined that Estonia supports territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute.

Good prospects for cooperation as part of the Eastern Partnership program and in energy ICT, education and other fields was stressed at the meeting.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today accepted credentials of newly appointed ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Damir Džanko.

The Ambassador passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.

The Azerbaijani President had a conversation with the diplomat.

The Head of State recalled a successful visit of chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegović to Azerbaijan.

The President said during Izetbegović`s visit they discussed important issues related to development of the bilateral relations.

President Ilham Aliyev noted there was a big potential to expand relationship between the two countries in various directions, including energy, transport, investment and tourism fields.
The Azerbaijani leader wished Damir Džanko successes in his activity.

The ambassador conveyed greetings of chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegović to the Head of State.

The diplomat stressed the importance of a historic visit of Bakir Izetbegović to Azerbaijan in terms of expanding bilateral ties between the countries.

He noted there were ample opportunities for enhancing Azerbaijan-Bosnia and Herzegovina cooperation in a variety of fields.

Damir Džanko said he would spare no efforts to contribute to strengthening the bilateral ties during his tenure.

The Head of State asked the ambassador to pass on his greetings to the chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
