Today, Baku is hosting the founding conference of the Eurasia Military Law Enforcement Bodies Association.
Representatives of three countries are attending the event, a law enforcement bodies' source told Trend on Friday.
Azerbaijani Deputy Interior Minister, Commander of Internal Troops, Lieutenant-General Zakir Hasanov, Chief of the Turkish Gendarmerie General Baqir Kalonchu and Commander of Kyrgyz Internal Troops, Colonel Sovetbek Arbaev are attending the conference.
Commander of Kazakh internal troops, Major General Ruslan Zhaksylykov was expected to attend the meeting, but Kazakhstan refused to participate in the association a few days before the event.
Head of the Mongolian relevant bodies failed to arrive in Baku because of unstable weather conditions. Several bilateral meetings are planned to be held during the conference.
A protocol on intentions was signed in Ankara in 2011 to establish the Eurasia Military Law-Enforcement Bodies Association.
