Public meeting is held to learn about people's concerns, Ali Ahmadov said in his speech.

"People are in tension for recent days. Most of them want stability restored and their lives secured. This event caused by some negligence, should not lead to a dangerous situation. Setting hotels and cars on fire exacerbates the situation. The elders should get together and solve this issue, "Ahmadov said.

Alekperov stressed that the recent events in Ismayilli are undesirable.

Chief Executive has urged residents of Ismayilli not to politicize the incident that occurred due to a car accident.

Certain political forces, casting a shadow over the achievements of Azerbaijan, aim to destabilize the situation in the country, Alekperov said. He urged people to show restraint and asked the elders and intellectuals to advise young people not to seek confrontation.

A large crowd gathered at the scene which is generally busy and started to angrily heckle the driver. After Shamsaddinov further insulted local residents, the conflict took a turn for the worst, resulting in the hotel being set on fire and three cars parked there being burned.

The accused then attempted to set fire to the house of the son of the Chief Executive of the region, Elkhan Nizami Alekperov with the intention of destroying it.

Despite police intervention and their successful prevention of further chaos, a car in the yard was set on fire.

During the incident, four people, including three police officers were injured. Shamsaddinov and Mammadov were detained.
