Works on visa liberalization between the EU and Azerbaijan continue and appropriate meetings have been held, the head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Roland Kobia said on Tuesday.
"The meetings have were in this regard yesterday and today I was informed that they were successful. We are getting closer to visa facilitation and readmission. It is still not completed entirely, but I hope we will get the results very soon," Kobia said.
According to him, visits of the EU commissioners in the region is expected in the near future.
"Visits of commissioners are expected in the coming weeks or months. Most likely it would be Oettinger and Füle, however other commissioners may visit as well," Kobia said.
Kobia did not specify the date of visits.
