The Azerbaijani left Social Democratic Party finds it impossible for the opposition to participate in the upcoming elections with a single candidate, party chairman Araz Alizade told Trend on Tuesday.
"There will be no single candidate," he said. "They have more personal ambitions."
He added that his party will not enter into any political bloc.
The party will take part in the elections with its candidate, he added.
"We have decided that we will take part in the elections with our candidate, but we have not chosen him," he said.
According to the decision of the party's congress, if a candidate from the party is not registered, the party members are free in their choice and can vote for whom they wish.
