European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Füle who arrived in Turkey, visited Gezi Park in Istanbul, Turkish Dunya newspaper wrote on Friday.
According to the newspaper, Füle met with a delegation of protesters.
Protests against the reconstruction of Gezi park in Taksim Square in Istanbul lasted for ten days.
Earlier, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan during said at a press conference in Tunis that among the organizers of the protests in Turkey there are representatives of terrorist groups who organized the attack on the U.S. embassy in Ankara.
Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said that the damage from the protests in Turkey is over 70 million liras.
