Lebanon doesn't recognize the EU decision to include the military wing of "Hezbollah" on its list of terrorist organizations, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati stated, "Anadolu" reported on Wednesday.

"We intend to hold negotiations with EU countries, during which we will try to get a review of the decision," Mikati said.

The Foreign Ministers of the EU countries reached a political agreement that includes the military wing of "Hezbollah" on its list of terrorist organizations during a meeting in the capital of Belgium on Monday.

It is expected that this political decision will be clothed in legal form soon, after which, sanctions will be imposed against the organization such as asset freezing in the EU and a travel ban on members of the organization.

However, the head of EU diplomacy Catherine Ashton indicated that the decision will not affect the provision of financial support to Lebanon by the EU and its member states.
