Further rapprochement between the two countries and intensification of economic and cultural ties are new German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Heidrun Temple's goals, the German Embassy in Baku reports.
"Azerbaijan is a country known for its hospitality and tolerance and I am very pleased with my appointment," the new ambassador added.
Temple will replace Herbert Quelle, whose diplomatic mission will end in July.
Before her appointment as German ambassador to Azerbaijan, she worked as an ambassador on intercultural dialogue at the German Foreign Ministry, as well as in Brussels and Jakarta.
