Azerbaijan, Baku, July 29 / Trend I. Izzet /

The voting process could be observed by cameras at 10 percent of polling stations during the last elections in Azerbaijan.

According to the president's decision, this figure has been increased to 20 percent of polling stations this year, Deputy Head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, head of the department on work with regional governing bodies and local self-government bodies of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Zeynal Nagdaliyev said.

He made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the specialized courses on electoral law for chairmen of District Election Commissions held at the Central Election Commission on Monday.

"The central executive power bodies have some issues," Nagdaliyev added. "According to the President's order, all the necessary conditions were created for the District Election Commissions' activity."

"Much better conditions will be created for the election commissions and the voters compared to the previous elections," he added. "The informational signs must be brought into the proper form for the voters to freely use them. It is forbidden to use these signs in other purposes. The appropriate instructions were given to the local executive power bodies."

The presidential elections are planned to be held in Azerbaijan in autumn.
