Turkish, Lebanese FMs discuss freeing Turkish Airlines pilots

Yesterday, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held talks by phone with his Lebanese counterpart Adnan Mansour over the issue of freeing the Turkish pilots kidnapped in Lebanon, Anadolu agency reported on Wednesday.

Yesterday, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held talks by phone with his Lebanese counterpart Adnan Mansour over the issue of freeing the Turkish pilots kidnapped in Lebanon, Anadolu agency reported on Wednesday.

It is reported that during the conversation, Davutoglu said everything must be done to ensure the pilots are released as soon as possible.

The Turkish Airlines pilot and co-pilot, both Turkish citizens, were abducted by unknown people while making their way to a hotel in Beirut. Responsibility for the abduction was taken by the previously unknown group Zuwar Al Rida.

The location of pilots is currently being determined. Lebanese authorities declared the Turkish pilots will be released soon.
