New Azerbaijan Party announced statistical data on the first period of the pre-election campaign.
The party divided the pre-election campaign into three stages, Deputy Executive Secretary Siyavush Novruzov told Trend on Friday.
According to him, the first stage lasted from September 16 to September 24.
"The first stage has already been completed and the reports are ready. The second stage is currently going on and will be completed on September 30. The third stage will last from October 1 to October 7," Deputy Executive Secretary stressed.
According to Novruzov, the New Azerbaijan Party held meetings in regional centers.
"These meetings began from September 20 and to date, some 24 meetings were held in the places designated in accordance to the law," Novruzov said.
The representative of the New Azerbaijan Party added that the Party held some 821 meetings in villages.
Over 807,000 people participated in the meetings. Some 87 meetings were held within the first stage in 12 districts of Baku in the places designated in accordance to the law," Novruzov said.
According to him, there were held meetings with over 1 million voters during the first stage and mainly MPs, members of New Azerbaijan Party's Political Council, scientists, intellectuals, artists participated in these meetings.
At least 60 and maximum 18,000 people participate in the meetings," Novruzov said.
"That is to say, there were a different number of participants in meetings. We intend to hold such meetings in all villages. At present, the second stage is going on, some 150 meetings are held with voters every day, and this process continues. Once the second stage is completed, the statistical data will be presented to the public, " Deputy Executive Secretary of the party said.
"Unlike us, there is no any information about the meetings of other alternatives. The opposition hasn't held meetings any more except one ," Novruzov said talking about the opposition's activity in this direction.
