Azerbaijani-Spanish Chamber of Commerce to be established

The Azerbaijani embassy in Spain put forward an initiative to create an Azerbaijani-Spanish Chamber of Commerce, the Azerbaijani embassy in Spain told Trend on Tuesday.
According to the report, this initiative was put forward in response to the great interest of Spanish companies in Azerbaijan's market, numerous appeals of Spanish companies to the embassy, benefits from the high-technology and know-how of Spain, numerous and beneficial investment projects in Spain and other factors.
The duties of the chamber will include increasing trade turnover between the two countries, attracting Spanish companies to Azerbaijan, putting Azerbaijani products in the Spanish market, the implementation of mutual business forums, trade and investment missions and other events which will contribute to the development of cooperation.
The members of the Chamber will be able to continuously receive information about the economy of Azerbaijan and Spain or about business opportunities, take the advantage of the expanded contact base, in order to find a business partner in a short time, to receive the latest information about tenders, projects, exhibitions and etc., to take the consultations on legal, tax rules and other issues.
It should be stressed that the embassy receives appeals from Spanish companies for the membership in this chamber.
It is noteworthy that the main attention is paid to determination of the companies which will be the founders of the chamber. Currently, six Spanish companies intend to partake in the founding. The list will soon be narrowed down.
