Higher democracy in the country is a priority for Ankara, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan said, Anadolu agency reported on Saturday.
No country is able to achieve democracy in a short time, as well as Turkey, he said.
Earlier the Deputy Prime Minister said that Turkey is seeking to join the EU to develop democracy.
According to him, the country could be a burden for the EU 10-15 years ago, but today it has a different value for the EU.
