By Rahim Zamanov - Trend: Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton and the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry are currently holding a trilateral meeting.

Negotiations are underway in Geneva between Iran and the P5+1 over Tehran's nuclear energy program.

France and Britain have expressed optimism and hope on the third day of the prolonged talks.

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius specifically said that he hopes a specific agreement can be reached.

He made the remark after the meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton.

It is the unscheduled third day of diplomatic efforts aimed at reaching a deal.

The two previous days of intense negotiations have so far been described as constructive.

Zarif is expected to meet with the Russian Foreign Minister later in the day.
