The NATO summit will be held on September 4-5, 2014, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said today, NATO website reported.
According to the report, NATO Secretary General supported British Prime Minister David Cameron's proposal to hold the summit in his country next year.
"This summit will create a good opportunity for NATO," Rasmussen said. "We will mark the completion of our mission in the International Security Assistance Force (İSAF) in late 2014, as well as the beginning of a new phase of activity in Afghanistan. We will continue to take actions on modernization to be strong, flexible and ready to respond to any call for security."
