Azerbaijani Defence Minister and Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov paid a visit to an Air Force military unit, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry reported on Thursday.
The minister was updated with the combat readiness of military aviation, the runways and additional buildings in the territory.
Hasanov also met with flight and engineering personnel and urged them to constantly improve their professionalism.
Ranks were assigned to some servicemen with personnel being awarded with medals and gifts.
Hasanov issued instructions on rapid and qualitative execution of combat missions, improved housing and living conditions in the military campus and all implemented and planned measures.
