State of Utah appreciates achievements of Azerbaijani people and President Ilham Aliyev

Both houses of the legislative body of the American state of Utah have accepted an official declaration appreciating the historical achievements of the Azerbaijani people and President Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani embassy to Washington, D.C. reported on Feb. 14.
The Declaration was read at a session of the Senate of the state and then presented to Azerbaijani Ambassador to the U.S., Elin Suleymanov by the co-author of the document, Senator Jin Davis. In turn, the ambassador expressed gratitude to the representatives of both houses and also the authors of the document and expressed confidence that this declaration will become a stable basis for the development of relations between the state of Utah and Azerbaijan.
Senator Jin Davis noted in her speech that Azerbaijan is a strategic partner of the U.S. in the region.
It is mentioned in the Declaration that common values in the sphere of democracy and Human Rights unite the USA and Azerbaijan.
