Cooperation between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Iranian province of West Azerbaijan was discussed in Tabriz.
Consul General of Azerbaijan in Tabriz Ali Alizade met with the new governor of West Azerbaijan province Gurbanali Saadat, the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Tabriz told Trend on Feb.18.
Alizade congratulated the governor on his appointment. The important role of the province of West Azerbaijan in the development of Azerbaijani-Iranian relations was discussed and satisfaction expressed with the effective cooperation between the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan and the province at the meeting. They also discussed the continuation of joint economic, cultural and scientific projects, the development of cooperation in the field of agriculture and other issues of mutual interest.
During his visit to West Azerbaijan province, the Consul General met with a representative of Iran's Supreme Court Head on West Azerbaijan, Imam Jamaat of Urmia - Seyid Mehdi Gureyshi, Foreign Minister head of Iran on province Mohammad Ibrahimi, the CEO of Justice organization of province Tevekkul Heydari during his visit.
