Members of religious extremist groups have been detained during a special operation conducted in Azerbaijan in 2013.
They have been trained in Syria and prepared for committing criminal sabotage and terrorist actions, according to a report from the Cabinet of Ministers submitted to the Parliament as of 2013.
Various types of firearms, ammunition, explosives and other military equipment were found.
A criminal case was filed and an investigation is underway.
