President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the appointment of Adalat Muradov rector of Azerbaijan State Economic University on March 5.
The university's rector Shamsaddin Hajiyev has been dismissed from the post in accordance to another decree of the president.
Prior to appointment to the post of rector, Adalat Muradov was the head of the Economic Policy, Analysis and Forecasting Department of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy and Industry.
Shamsaddin Hajiyev heads the Committee of Science and Education of Milli Majlis (parliament).
