Azerbaijan calls for restoration of stability in Ukraine and settling the existing problems peacefully, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov said, Turkish TRT Haber TV channel reported on March 14.
He made these remarks following a meeting of Azerbaijani, Turkish and Iranian foreign ministers in the Turkish city of Van.
Mammadyarov said everything happening in Ukraine must comply with its country's constitution.
He also stressed that Azerbaijan's position in relation to developments in Ukraine is that the situation in this country should be resolved through negotiations and stability restored in the near future.
The position of Baku has been announced repeatedly, the minister stressed.
"Azerbaijan supports the preservation of Ukraine's territorial integrity," Mammadyarov said.
He stressed that the territorial integrity issue is very important for Azerbaijan.
"Unfortunately, the situation in this country today remains tense, and Baku calls for its stabilization. The situation cannot be allowed to get escalated," he added.
