Baku will host the meeting of the Chiefs of Staff Committee of CIS member states on April 7-8, a message posted on the website of Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on March 25.
This event will be held in Azerbaijan for the first time. The country's Defense Ministry participates in meetings of the Chiefs of Staff Committee and the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS countries. The meetings of the Council of CIS Defense Ministers were held in Baku in 2001 and 2006.
