An official welcoming ceremony for President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has been held in Athens.
The guard of honor was arranged for the head of state outside the Presidential Palace decorated with the national flags of Azerbaijan and Greece.
Greek President Karolos Papoulias welcomed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The military orchestra played the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Greece.
The heads of state reviewed the guard of honor as the military march was played.
The chief of the guard of honor reported to the President Ilham Aliyev.
Greek state and government officials were introduced to President Ilham Aliyev and members of the Azerbaijani delegation were introduced to President Karolos Papoulias.
The presidents then posed for official photos.
