Azerbaijani ambassador to the Republic of Korea Ramzi Teymurov delivered his credentials to Korean President Park Geun-hye, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry said on Aug. 8.
Azerbaijani ambassador conveyed greetings and best wishes of President Aliyev to the Korean counterpart. The Korean president asked to convey greetings to the Azerbaijani counterpart.
The ambassador stressed that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of relations with Korea. He also added that Korea is an important partner of Azerbaijan in the Asian region. He informed about the Azerbaijani side's interest in expanding bilateral relations in all spheres.
The Korean president said that Korea attaches great importance to the development of the relations with Azerbaijan. She stressed the active participation of Korean companies in the projects recently implemented in Azerbaijan. The president expressed her country's interest in further cooperation.
Some issues on the prospects for cooperation in the economic and political spheres were also discussed at the meeting.
