Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov held a meeting in the zone of wide-scale operational and tactical command and staff exercises, the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan reported Sept.16.
During the meeting the commanders of formations and commanders of military units reported on participation in the exercises, plans and decisions made.
Speaking at the meeting, the Defense Minister spoke about the importance of large-scale operational and tactical command and staff exercises and the challenges ahead and gave relevant instructions and guidance.
Extensive operational and tactical command and staff exercises of all kinds of armed forces with the assistance of the military units of the Turkish Armed Forces are being held from September 13-20 in Azerbaijan, based on the plan approved by the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev.
