State Secretary of Latvia's Foreign Ministry Andrejs Pildegovičs will hold political consultations in Baku, Latvian ambassador to Azerbaijan Hardijs Baumanis told Trend on Jan. 16.
He said that the visit is scheduled for January 21.
During the visit Pildegovičs and the Azerbaijani side intend to discuss the cooperation issues with the EU, Eastern Partnership, politics and security.
"The two countries regularly exchange experience," the diplomat said. "The consultations are held. The upcoming visit will be a continuation of these consultations."
"The bilateral issues will be discussed during the visit," Baumanis said.
